Kathy Currie-Eyers

Kathy is a perpetual student in spite of her over 30 years experience. She has taken many courses, and classes and graduated Summa cum laude from Karen Pryor Academy. Over the years she has competed in various dog sports with her dogs and hopes to get back to doing more of that in the near future. She started the first dog daycare in Barrie in 2000 and now has a location in Orillia as well. She has sat on the following boards: As chair for the Canadian Association for Pet Dog Trainers, Trainer advisor for Sweet Charity Medical Assistance dogs. She is also an evaluator for both the CKC Canine Good neighbour testing and did evaluations for Therapeutic Paws of Canada. Kathy has selected and trained many dogs in service roles for people needing assistance both physical and emotional. Kathy breeds Labrador retrievers. Kathy was also an RPN for many years working on the maternity ward and also doing home care for the disabled.
Tiory Martin

Tiory Martin came to us with an extensive background in both wildlife rehab from Bear Creek Animal Sanctuary and the SPCA. Her patience and dedication made her a perfect fit for our industry, and so sent to become a Certified Training Partner of the Karen Pryor Academy. Tiory not only helps manages our large family of daycare dogs and staff but also works in our day school program and teaches classes in the evenings. Tiory also is a trainer for the Sweet Charity School Ambassador program. She is one busy girl!
Kacy Currie

Kacy was raised in a dog training home and spent many a weeknight doing her homework while Kathy taught classes. She was often called upon to help with classes and at the tender age of 10 she competed in her first CKC obedience trial with Tailor. So it only natural that her path lead her onwards to the dog world. Kacy and Kathy started TopDog K9 Services in 2006 a dog daycare and training center. Kacy is a Graduate from Animal Behavioural College and has attended countless seminars and works from many different respected trainers and leaders in the industry. She worked with Sweet Charity Medical Assistance dogs and was involved in training Diabetic Alert Dogs. She also sat on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association for Dog Trainers for 8 years. She is our go-to person for aggression issues and has helped rehabilitate many dogs from the SPCA as well as her own rescue Just N Time in order to help them find homes.
Mary Blais

Mary Blais started with us in July of 2021 as a part time daycare technician.
Although she is soft spoken and quiet it quickly became apparent to us that this girl has the skills we are looking for. Mary quickly progressed from Daycare Tech to one of our in house instructors and daycare supervisors. She is very patient and helps with any of the dogs that require special attention or handling skills. We are very pleased to have her as part of our team!
